If I charge $100 to a client, how much do you charge me per appointment?

WireCal charges $0 platform fee per service/appointment — it’s a flat $50/month for providers (card processing still applies).

What does the client pay, and what about card fees or taxes?

Client pays your booking price — no WireCal fee on any job. Card processing fees apply (often well under 2%), and your bank deposit is lower after those fees.

WireCal doesn’t add separate line items to the charge — whatever price you set is the amount charged to the client. For example, if you usually charge $100 for the work and you want to cover about 2% card processing and 10% sales tax, you might set roughly $100 + $2 + $10 = $112 so one total covers service, processing, and tax (rates vary; confirm with your tax pro).

  • Card processingStripe’s standard fees apply to the charge.
  • Sales taxWireCal doesn’t add or remit it; include it in your price if required, or ask your tax pro.
  • Income taxyou report like any business.
How do I add sales tax to each of my charges to the client?

WireCal doesn’t add separate line items to the charge — whatever dollar amount you set for the service is what gets charged when the booking is paid.

Example: if you usually charge $100 for the service and you’re budgeting roughly 2% for card processing and 10% for sales tax, you might set the price to roughly $100 + $2 + $10 = $112 so the client pays one total that covers those (actual rates vary by card and location — check with a tax professional).

Remitting and reporting tax is your responsibility.
